© Brahma Boards 2011
Only hand selected hardwoods are used to
create the strong yet stylish frames. Woods
such as Cherry, Walnut, Maple, Padauk and
Jatoba are protected with a clear sealer that
also enhances the woods natural beauty and
character. Each handcrafted Brahma
Board takes up to 10 weeks to create.
The interior surface of the board is cut from a
single piece of leather. The grain pattern
flows from one side of the board to the
other including the checker and dice storage
areas. The surface is hand dyed with the
points also being hand applied . We work
the leather to give it an aged appearance
and texture, then condition it to give it depth
and protection. The exterior is also created
from a single piece of leather and similarly conditioned. This is real
leather with interesting grain patterns, small scars and lots of
character!
