Cherry varies from rich red to reddish brown and will
darken with age and on exposure to light. The grain
can be fine and uniform or wavy. It has a satiny,
smooth texture, and may naturally contain brown pith
flecks and small gum pockets.

Maple leans towards a creamy white to a
light tan color. The wood has a close fine,
uniform texture and is generally straight-
grained. Maple is a dense wood and is
slightly heavier than the other woods we
use.
Walnut can range from a rich dark brown
to almost black. The grain is mainly
straight, but may also be curly or wavy.
